Furniture Sets are collections of common Furniture objects that are all similar in style and design and therefore each display a different theme. Most sets can be either crafted individually or are found naturally-placed around the world. Some others may be randomly dropped by enemies. Still others may be purchased and placed at specific locations throughout the game. The majority of furniture items in Mario games are found in their respective castle or fort. It's possible to view a detailed description for each item after purchasing it from a shop or vendor. This will additionally allow you to buy a specific set if you are lacking any or missing an item you needed. Sometimes, you are unable to purchase a particular item from a certain vendor or shop. In such cases, Mario will search for an item in one of the castles or farms around the map.
A number of Mario characters are present in this game including Luigi, Yoshi, Wario, Mario, Donkey Kong and Wario. Wario, who is most famous as the villain, appears to be married to Koopa Troopa, the evil fungus who is responsible for turning everyone into green goombas. Luigi is Mario's childhood friend and companion, who act as his right hand man and acolyte in every endeavor he performs. Yoshi is a dinosaur-like character who assists Mario in his quests and also has a brother, Yoshi, who is a Yoshi like character.
Wario is playable throughout the entirety of the game, however, he is not a playable character in all instances. He only appears in special events and boss battles. He can help you defeat your opponents, but he also spends most of his time flipping pills in some minigames. He is also one of the few characters who does not have his own Paper doll, like Mario and Luigi.
The Mario character's outfits from the game are exclusively for him, and he cannot wear any other clothes. This includes his head gear which are known as the "Shulk", and his overalls. All of his Paper doll costumes from the previous Super Mario 3 games are included with the game as well and there are new ones being added every few days. Mario and Luigi now have their own coffee cups, plates and even chopsticks. It is because of this that they now appear in restaurants where Mario and Luigi's friends are invited to hang out.
While the majority of the characters appear in each game, there are several that only appear in a limited number of games. Wario is one such example. In the first Super Mario 3 game he only appeared in the intro where he is seen attempting to steal the castle. After he is challenged by Mario and Luigi in a battle, he finally gives up his goal and joins their side.
Wario was given a makeover for the New Mario Bros. game as well. He now has a red hat that goes with black trousers, and a mustache. Wario has also gained new skills as well. For example, he now can defeat opponents that are much bigger than him. The only downside to this is that he cannot use any weapons in his new skill sets, and he will not be able to change into Wario when not playing as Wario.
Another character that was poorly received is Wario's younger brother, Mario. His design remains the same as his older brother, but he now wears blue overalls instead of his older color of green. The only real change is that he now has four Boots instead of two. Wario has no concept of time passing, since he is constantly in his house playing Mario in his flashier versions. Luigi, on the other hand, knows the future and will run away if Mario or Luigi does not return within ten minutes. Wario cannot swim, although he was able to float in certain instances.
